Harvester Christian Academy (HCA), an accredited college preparatory school located in Douglasville, Georgia was founded in 1987 by a group of inspired parents seeking to provide a Christ-centered education for their children which would augment what was being modeled and taught in the home and at church. Harvester successfully opened its doors in the fall of 1987 with classes offered in the lower grades and expanded quickly as the community recognized the value of the HCA education and enrollment demanded additional classes and grades. Success came to a new level as the first students graduated from Harvester Christian Academy High School in 2001. Over the years, the campus has experience planned growth expanding to 30 acres and adding additional buildings and recreational areas.
With a commitment to excellence, HCA continues to follow the vision of excellence in expansion of its campus and programs attracting families from the West Georgia area with Christ-centered academics and programs in a nurturing atmosphere. Today, HCA continues to maintain the feel of a close-knit family oriented community where friendships are built for a lifetime.
The Harvester graduate is proven to be successful. Harvester graduates are welcome and excel at colleges and universities across the nation. At HCA, class sizes and student to teacher ratios remain small to maximize the learning environment. Tuition is affordable and enrollment is made through application to the Academy via the website or in person at the main office. Today, HCA is privileged to be the home of approximately 400 students in grades K-4 through 12.
Individuality and diversity is found at HCA. The families that attend HCA represent over 70 different local churches and live in Carroll, Fulton, Paulding, Cobb, and Douglas Counties.
Harvester is pleased to be a valuable contributor to the community and world. HCA serves others by supporting local, regional, national, and world relief needs and non-profit organizations and lives the motto of “training minds to lead and hearts to serve.”
HCA is a ministry of the Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) and is an accredited member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC).
