DRESS CODE GUIDELINES Boys: Khaki-type material pants or shorts (tan, navy, green, gray, brown, or black) with a belt if the pants have belt loops. Pants must be worn at the waist. Cargo-type pants and shorts are acceptable. Overalls are not acceptable. Shirts may be “golf-style” pullovers with short or long sleeves, collars, and buttons in any color or design (stripes, checks, plaids, prints, or solids). Students may also wear short or long sleeve button up shirts. All shirts must be tucked into pants or shorts. Tee shirts, tank tops, and sweatshirts are not allowed. During the cold weather season, students may wear sweaters. If the sweater has a mock turtleneck, no other collar is required. If the sweater is a v-neck or crewneck, a collared shirt is required under the sweater. Casual shoes, dress shoes, or tennis shoes are appropriate. “Flip-flops” or beach-type shoes are allowed. Sandals or slides (open-back shoes) are acceptable. K-4 through third grade students may not wear slides or sandals. Boys are not allowed to wear hats of any kind inside school buildings. All clothes must be free of tears, rips, and holes. All pants and shorts must have a finished hem and must not drag on the ground. Girls: Khaki-type material, cotton or cotton blends are suitable for pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, jumpers, or dresses. These may be any color, print, or pattern.
